This coming Sunday is the youth group’s 2nd service project - “SERVE’EM”. It will be at the ministry center from 1-4. Bring good attitudes and be ready to get to know some new people.
Something to make sure your teen understands is that these people are PEOPLE. They are picky, passionate and they do have feelings. They need attention from other the same way that we do. They are made in the image of God just like we are, and we need to love them just as God does!
We are planning having 12 men and 4 ladies from a special needs home. They will be accompanied by 4-5 staff members.
We will start out with a “meet and greet time” for about 45 minutes. Then we will eat some lunch with them from Ci-ci's pizza. Then the guys are going to play some kick ball and the girls are going to be pampered with all kinds’ girly stuff.
This is going to be a really good time. These people love people and love attention. Last time we had them come over we had a blast just getting to know them and seeing what they are passionate about. I really like the staff and everyone is really friendly. This type of service is so personal because the youth will be serving with their attention and interest in an individual.
